Route Formentera one day - East
Lighthouse - S'Espalmador and Es Pas - Playa de Levante (Llevant) - Es Pujols (Caves) and EXTRA Es Racó
This boat trip around Formentera is perfect for the days of west wind and south wind, as we will be covered by the cliffs and we will be able to tour the eastern part of Formentera.
It is a very quiet, natural and little built-up area of Formentera, unknown to many people. It will allow us to enjoy the most unknown places of the Pitiusa island with long white sandy beaches and beautiful surroundings.
Formentera Lighthouse
The first stop on the boat route around Formentera is the lighthouse located on the Island of Pigs (s’Illa des Porcs), in front of s’Espalmador. A little frequented site due to the shallow depth. Its crystal clear waters provide us with a large white sandy bottom, perfect to drop anchor and take our first swim in Formentera. If we want, we can also snorkel next to the boat and enjoy the Posidonia and its great variety of fish.
S'Espalmador and Es Pas
Second stop, one of the best places in Formentera to swim in its crystal clear waters of the most famous turquoise color of the Balearic Islands. A mandatory stop, without hesitation. We will only have to be especially careful with the Baix de Gorrinets dry dock located in the bay of s’Espalmador. Once at anchor, we can swim to Es Pas, a sandy causeway that connects s’Espalmador with Formentera; crossing it is a unique experience in Formentera. The water will reach our waist and we will be able to walk to Ses Illetes.
Levante Beach (Llevant)
Third stop, Levante beach (Llevant), several kilometers of beach with crystal clear turquoise waters. A natural spot in Formentera of unique beauty, much less crowded than Ses Illetes. Ideal route for when we have a westerly wind.
Es Pujols / Cuevas
Fourth stop in the cove of Es Pujols, we will anchor in the final part, near the cave and the cliff. We will be very protected from winds from the south, southwest. Ideal place to see a little in action to people who do cliff jumping in Formentera and also to dare to try the experience. If we wish, it is time to have lunch at the Italian restaurant Chezz Gerdi, with pick-up service to the ship.
Es Racó
Last stop Es Racó, one of the most charming places in Formentera, both for its cliffs and its aquamarine waters. Sandy bottoms of 3-10m, perfect for anchoring. We can anchor in front of the two restaurants, specialized in paella and fish, or at the end, closer to the cliff if we want to enjoy one of the best areas for snorkeling, paddle surfing and Seabob.
We will put the finishing touch to our route through the Levante of Formentera and return to the port in a sailing trip of less than an hour.
